Responding to dating email dating site best professionals
This leaves men in a novel situation, however, because men have to wait for a message on Bumble.
Some men simply aren’t used to that role reversal, and it takes some adapting.
I'm pretty good at not getting hung up over them so it's not a big deal. I don't and I should but it seems like guys care more about a prompt response than a thoughtful response.
I'm a little busy and I get a decent number of messages and I've grown to hate my own replies. :/ However, I also understand what it feels like to be left hanging... I almost always need at least a day to respond (I messaged someone two nights ago, got a reply early this morning and didn't find time to reply till late tonight, and I expect she'll take 2-3 days to reply).
I did that with one girl and 2 days later (after being online a couple times already) she responded back with a friendly message.
I'm certainly not complaining, it was a very pleasant surprise actually.
If someone hasn't responded after say a week, that is a different story... No one has the OBLIGATION to reply promptly (or even to respond at all).
It seems kind of silly, and I'm probably going to get bitched at for "playing games" but if a dude calls me a frigid cunt for not replying immediately, it's good to find that out that personality blip sooner rather than later.
However, once they get a little practice in, they’re able to handle it. One problem that does arise, on Bumble or any other dating site, is the infamous “Hey” message.
The ultimate in low-effort messaging, there are worse opening texts that one could send but not many.
EDIT: Thanks for the insight, guys, that's mostly what I figured. In fact it's a nice thought to think about that they want to respond to me at some point but might want to take the time to write a well thought-out one. I have a multi-day response time on email, hell, I have a day backlog of SMSs to respond to sometimes. If I have a few dates lined up for that week I don't want to tax myself.
If things fall through, maybe I'll be interested enough to add you to my harem. Sometimes if you don't reply immediately, even after being online, guys freak out and bombard you with with crazy, paranoid messages.

So if I've had a promising few dates with someone I might wait to see how that situation plays out first.
